In the midday heat, you shelter under a tree, sip lemonade and draw sketches of the morning’s discoveries.

Materials: The bodice top is made from ivory soft stretch cotton velvet and is embellished with a mix of modern, vintage and antique lace and net ruffled and gathered at the back to form a bustle. The dusky pale green skirt is a heavy linen fabric with a subtle pattern, and the waist is elasticated.

Ideas: Wear to re-enactment events as this outfit can be adapted for several historical eras. Add a shawl for a Victorian costume or wear with a top hat, goggles and pocket watch for the perfect steampunk outfit.

Care notes: The skirt is machine washable at 30 degrees C, ideally on a delicate cycle. The top is only machine washable if on a cool delicate cycle securely tied inside a pillowcase to keep the lace safe; or cool hand wash.
