When your governess takes her afternoon nap, you plan your escape on the steam airship.

Materials: The bodice top is made from chocolate brown soft stretch cotton velvet and is embellished with a mix of modern, vintage and antique lace and net ruffled and gathered at the back with embroidered satin to form a bustle. The dusky ivory skirt is a heavy linen fabric with a subtle pattern and is hitched and bustled here and there. The waist is elasticated.

Ideas: Wear to re-enactment events as this outfit can be adapted for several historical eras. Add a shawl for a Victorian costume or wear with a top hat, goggles and pocket watch for the perfect steampunk outfit.

Care notes: The skirt is machine washable at 30 degrees C, ideally on a delicate cycle. The top is only machine washable if on a cool delicate cycle securely tied inside a pillowcase to keep the lace safe; or cool hand wash.
